2019 FALL BOX LACROSSE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

Fall Box Lacrosse Registration is Now Open!

Teams will play 6v6, with 5 players and a goalie

Games will be played outdoors on Sundays at Metzler Park Rinks in Castle Rock.

Games are Sundays:  8/18, 8/25, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13 for Playoffs: Sunday game days.  No games Labor Day weekend.

First Game: 8/18

Last Regular Season Game: 10/6

Playoffs/Championship Games: 10/13

Practice: one day / week, TBD by team will begin in August (day and time TBD) at Lorenz, Newton Middle School or Cornerstone Park

Cost: $220 – includes reversible jersey, cost of participation due in full at time of registration

Teams will be formed to compete in the combined age divisions based on player's grade as of fall 2019.

  • Mites: 1st/2nd grade
  • Novice: 3rd/4th grade
  • Pee Wee: 5th/6th grade
  • Bantam: 7th/8th grade

2019 AHS Summer Lacrosse Camp

Join Arapahoe Boys Lacrosse Head Coach Logan Bobzien for his 4th Annual Warrior Lacrosse Summer Camp. Youth players of all skill levels can learn the fundamentals, strategies, and techniques that it takes to become a better lacrosse player. Participants will receive instruction from Coach Bobzien, the AHS staff, and alumni over three daily sessions in a structured, professional, and fun setting. All registrants will receive a custom T-shirt and will have the opportunity to earn great prizes at the end of camp.

Welcome to Thunder Boys Lacrosse

 

Thunder Lacrosse is dedicated to the development of lacrosse in South Metro Denver by providing the opportunity to learn and play the game in a fun and challenging atmosphere.

The Thunder boys program is a member club of the Arapahoe Youth League (AYL).

The AYL is the Premier Competitive Youth Sports League in the Denver Metro area. They AYL offers competitive league play for all levels of talent from age 6 until high school. The AYL has member programs across the south metro area - South Denver, Littleton, Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Aurora, Parker and Castle Rock.

Sportsmanship

 

Here are a few things to keep in mind regarding our sportsmanship expectations:

  • Please sit on the opposite side of the field from the player’s box on the same end of the field as your team. All of our Thunder parents and fans should be sitting together.
  • NO COACHING FROM THE SIDELINES. This is the coach’s job and the players / coaches should never hear “shoot” or “pass” from the parents. Don’t confuse your players by telling them what to do during the game; you may not know what the coaches have communicated with them.
  • DO NOT TALK TO THE REFS.  Again, this is the coach’s job and they will address and communicate with the refs as they deem appropriate.
  • Cheer for all good plays – if the other goalie makes a fantastic save on your son’s shot, although it’s not the outcome you wanted, it’s ok to clap.
  • After the game, tell your son how much fun it was to watch him play!
